El Centro has partnered with the Houston Food Bank to address the increasing food demand amid COVID-19. The Houston Food Bank will provide 60 food boxes per week for El Centro to distribute to those in need. Families who screen for food insecurity will be receiving a food box which includes non-perishable items such as canned meats, beans, soup, and peanut butter.
