On December 8, 2016 El Centro de Corazón celebrated with Bank of America its recent $20,000 grant in support of El Centro’s health centers. With this grant, El Centro will be able to provide quality health care services to more than 11,000 low-income and underserved children and adults in Houston.

Bank of America is lending, investing and giving in local communities to advance local economies and create positive change. Providing support to organizations like El Centro de Corazón, that provide critical services and programs, are just one of the ways Bank of America is helping improve the quality of life in the communities they serve.

Bank of America’s support will help El Centro to improve the health of low-income underserved individuals by providing a full spectrum of pediatric and adult health care services, which include primary care, women’s health, dental care, and behavioral health care. In addition, Bank of America’s grant will be utilized to provide Patient Navigation services which are barrier-focused interventions to reduce delays in accessing health care services and provide systemic follow through to ensure patients receive timely screenings, preventive care, diagnosis, and treatment.
